Welcome to Paintings by Iris. Years of expressing my passion for colorful skies as an art experience eventually led to the inception of Paintings by Iris in 2017. With a unique artistic voice and a playful and evocative exploration of the setting sun, comes a sky of fire, and a wide array of immense color palettes. I strive to inspire humankind through inventive and experimental skyful hues within my work blended within national memorials, cities to beachside destinations and more.
Art is a Story
An artist never knows when inspiration will strike. Somewhere within the sky, hues of Iris are born along with brilliant rays of gold. For me, I see beauty in nature and the preservation of rainbow hues for Iris. For me art is an expression of will. Expressing of self and harvesting that. As 2015 came to a close for me… it ended by changing my life. I was at the wrong place at the wrong time and drove through an unprotected crime scene and was shot through my car and I almost died. For the year of 2016, art became my haven. As I endured surgery after surgery, I needed an outlet for the pain and a relaxation for my own self.
